Module
Highlights
EnviroMapper is
a web-based system that allows organizations to inventory, manage and
have access to all of their location-based hazard information.
The major advantage
of using the Hazard Identification Module is that hazard information
(such as confined spaces) can be updated and maintained in real time.
It is common for documented management plans to become obsolete in a
few months as organization conditions change. With a web-based system,
the latest identified hazards can be quickly updated with a job hazard
analysis quickly added to the location point to mitigate any significant
risk.
A second major advantage
is that the information can be accessed remotely by a manager who performs
an oversight function. If operations are located around the country,
for example, a manager can quickly determine what hazards exist remotely
and access the latest information which might include inspection or
sample results.
The software can
be accessed in two ways. A Map View or a Data Filter Search View.
1) When using the
Map View, an organization can select locations of interest and then
drill down to facilities of interest. The user can then drill down further
to floors, rooms, and closets where hazards that are present can be
found.
2) By using the
Data Filter/Search View, a user can use extensive filters and search
capabilities that can drill down to the same information.
Once a location
is found using either method, specific hazards can be listed such as:
Within these locations,
documents can be attached, such as sample results, inspection forms,
photographs, etc.
Risk codes can also
be assigned to locations that have identified hazards. The color orange,
for example, can be used when a room is selected to denote caution --
because it has a confined space. Different hazards could be displayed
with different colors or symbols.
Software users can
also query the software's data base to only select specific hazards.
